North Bengal Science Centre, Siliguri invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement of Trainee-Education (Pure Science/Life Science). The details are as follows :

 Essential Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics and combination of any two subjects, viz. Chemistry, Mathematics, Electronics Computer Science, Astronomy, Geology and Statistics a duly recognized University with good communication skill in Bengali, English and Hindi.

Or

Bachelor’s degree in Science with Chemistry and combination of any two subjects, viz., Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Environment Science, Bio- Technology and Molecular Biology from a duly recognized University with good communication skill in Bengali, English and Hindi.

The candidates who have recently acquired the Bachelor’s Degree in Science (not earlier than 2020) with combination of subjects stated above should only apply. Post Graduate/Engineering Graduates or those who have completed traineeship in any unit of NCSM need not apply.

Duration  of  Traineeship  :

One year which may be extended for one more year based on the satisfactory performance at the discretion of the Competent Authority.

Consolidated  Stipend  : Rs.16,500/- per month.

Date of Written Test and Communication Skill Test : 21.03.2023  

Selection process:

Interested candidates who  are  in  possession  of  the  above  qualifications  may appear in the Written Test and Communication Skill Test to be held at North Bengal Science Centre, Transport Nagar, Matigara, Siliguri – 734 010 on 21.03.2023. Those declared qualified in the written test shall only be allowed to appear in the communication skill test.

 The candidates are required to report at the above address on 21.03.2023  at 10:00 a.m. sharp with all original testimonials upto B.Sc and valid identity card for verification and enrolment.

 Eligible and interested candidates may submit their applications in plain papers giving name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, educational qualifications and other details along with self attested photocopies of all certificates and testimonials to the Project Coordinator, North Bengal Science Centre, Transport Nagar, Matigara, Siliguri – 734010 on any day during office hours within 17.03.2023. Application may also be sent by post.

 Candidates reporting after 11:00 a.m. at the above address will not be allowed to appear in the Written Test. Candidates who do not fulfill the above criteria will not be allowed to appear in the Written Test.

 Certificate  :

 On successful completion of Traineeship certificate will be issued to the candidate.
